Camouflage Elevated - How To

So we all know how hot camouflage is right now. It's in every store front. And of course it looks great with denim. But how do you go about elevating this popular print? It can be done and we are here to show you how.

We put together a more polished and girly way to wear camouflage for Ferry's post today and she is completely over the moon about the end results. I'm sure you will be adopting some of these ideas once you see how incredible it looks.

Check it out now...

Let's start this lesson with the must have piece for this tutorial... The camo print. For Ferry's look we selected these destructed camouflage jeans from TCP. We really liked the light, washed-out look of them and the destroyed details are something we always love in jeans.

Then, for this look we wanted to keep it soft and more elegant but still girly. Ferry has been on a major growth spurt lately and I'm having a hard time keeping up emotionally so for me this salmon pink was a great way to keep her looking youthful. It was also the perfect color for the jeans. The top she's wearing is from The Limited Express. The front key-hole was very low cut so I modified it by stitching it up most of the way, then adding beads for a decorative touch. And we were thrilled when it was a perfect match to her Juicy Couture velvet mini backpack bag. You cannot imagine how soft the feel is of this bag! And the bling is just an added bonus for this elevated camo look.

To enhance and play up the girl factor I wrapped some white ribbon around her waist for a sweet belt and she added her white choker necklace. Both are prefect for any tweenager. And be sure to grab a jacket for when it turns chilly. Ferry has her Bebe Girls pearl studded puff sleeved jacket here. Finish it off with some sparkly boots like Ferry's Gap boots and you have completed the look.

So have we convinced you to get some camouflage for your wardrobe this season and elevate it? Leave us a comment below to tell us your thoughts and ideas on ways to dress up and girl-ify this masculine print.
