Summer Day In Juicy Velvet and Sequins

Monday, June 11, 2018
Normally you think of velvet and sequins as heavy fabrics intended for cooler weather but girls love the soft touch of velvet and the shimmer and sparkle of sequins anytime of year! So, Ferry is here to show you how to use those lush fabrics even when the weather gets sticky and hot.

It all started with this TDF (and I seriously mean TO-DIE-FOR) mini backpack purse from Juicy Couture. Pictures cannot do this piece justice. You have to feel the silky plush fibers with your own fingers to even begin to appreciate it. And the sweet sparkly Juicy logo was just a bonus. It was one of those pieces that when we saw it, the thought of price went out the window, lol. It was a hands-down must-have piece. And believe me there are no regrets.

The next piece is spectacular as well. Ferry did the shimmy in it as soon as she had it on, lol. This solid white sequin sweatshirt style top by Art Place is part of their new Ice Cream line. It's smartly lined with a very lightweight knit fabric that will keep her cool while she's looking cool!

We selected the Art Class frayed fringe hem soft pink denim shorts from the same Ice Cream line. The pocket lining is the cute and novel sprinkle fabric that's used in other pieces of this line.

Colored denim is back this summer and what better way to wear it than with crisp white.

Ferry had these great Children's Place sneakers from another shoot that went perfectly with this outfit. She loves the cute emoji face that's on the heels. You can see more pics of the shoes in another post here.

And finally, no outfit is complete without a pair of shades to protect those delicate eyes from the sun. The ones Ferry is wearing here are from The Children's Place as well. We love the mirrored effect and the frames are sturdy and delicate.
