Mommy & Me - Let's Be Twinsies

Sunday, May 6, 2018
May 13th is just around the corner and we thought it would be fun to do some "Mom & Me" looks.

Admittedly, this was a difficult thing for me to do personally (I'm much more comfortable behind the lens) but it will be a shoot that Ferry and I will remember for a long time. I don't ever recall a time where Ferry and I did a shoot together like this.  We all had a lot of fun.

Gavin, my middle child, was a sport and agreed to take the photos for us. (Thank you, Gavin!) So with camera bag in tow, we walked over to the sand dunes. It's a bit of a workout climbing the super soft sand but once at the top, it's worth every bit of the effort.

But I digress. Let's get to what this post is really about... The fashion!

If you aren't aware, The Children's Place has some great matching "Mom & Me" outfits and that's where we got these beautiful dresses from.

These dresses are so soft and light. I can see that we will both enjoy them a lot this year.

The shirred bodice and adjustable straps give a perfect fit for any body type.

I was very excited to add this striking palm print to my otherwise print free wardrobe. And the black background color really gives it balance to the bright greens and delicate blue colors. I like it so much that I think I may be open to some more prints in the future.

YAY! For trying new things. 😍

Adding a denim jacket kept our arms warm in the cool breeze on the dunes. Plus, we love the casual feel it gives. But these dresses would be easy enough to dress up if the occasion calls for it.

Ferry and I have a lot of clothes that are very similar, only because we have such similar taste in our styles, lol. But this was the first time we've ever bought matching clothes. And I think we will be doing it more.

Can you see yourself being "twinsies" with your little one? Share your thoughts below. We look forward to hearing from you.
